No more IP address on the main page?

It used to be that when opening the main page of https://ipinfo.io/, it will show current IP address and its details. Now the page displays only an empty field to which IP address should be entered.

Is this a bug or an intentional change?

Thank you very much for posting in the community! The change was intentional.

I think we have reached a point where we have a ton of IP metadata that we simply cannot show in our homepage widget. That is why we are encouraging our users to try the IP pages instead: https://ipinfo.io/myip

If you want a faster way to check out our data, you can set up a custom search engine using IPinfo:
