Welcome to the IPinfo Lite Hackathon 2025 — we’re excited to have you here!

Event Dates:

  • Start: September 4
  • End: October 6
  • Winners Announced: Later that week (by October 10)

How to Participate:

  1. Use IPinfo Lite to build something cool — a dashboard, a game, a tool, or even just a script!
  2. Submit your project by creating a post here in the community and tag it with hackathon-2025.
  3. No forms or approvals needed — just share what you’ve built!

You’re encouraged (but not required) to share your work on social using #IPinfoHack.

What you can win:

  • Every valid project gets a sticker pack.
  • Top projects will receive a swag box.
  • Categories include: Most Fun, Best Use of AI, Best Integration, Most Innovative, and more.

Here is a hackathon project suggestion for those will the appropriate skills.

Way to the Web Ltd announced most if not all their products, including Config Server and Firewall, is now open source. Source: https://configserver.com/configserver-security-and-firewall/

Arguably the most used 3rd party app in cPanel, this opens the opportunity to:

  • utilize ipinfo data instead of maxmind
  • use ASN as a new feature rather than just ip and or CC.

We prefer open-source code. Can you share the website link? If it’s a commercial project, I understand that the code should not be open-sourced.
