[IPinfo Hack] Proxy Policy: Smart Compliance Tool for Global Internet Laws

I made a website called Proxy Policy that automatically determines what internet policies apply to users based on their IP address. The end goal was to create an API alongside it that web developers could use to determine what sort of cookie banners they must show and what kind of data can be collected based on their user’s location. Being compliant with so many different internet policies for different jurisdictions can be complicated. Currently a few countries are supported but I’d like to take this past a demo and give it broader production-level support in the future.

If you’re wondering, this uses Node.js/Express for the backend and Bulma with SASS as a CSS framework. And of course IPinfo Lite for geolocation.

Give it a shot and let me know what you think!

Very nice! No need to show a cookie banner for non-EU IPs!
