I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I’m absolutely stumped as to where else to ask regarding my issue. I pay for cellular service through TextNow, which is using the T-Mobile network and I’ve attempted contacting both about the issue with no resolve, but I use online casinos apps which are legal in the state of West Virginia in which I reside and work. Recently the casino apps have been saying they can’t determine my location, even though GPS is on like always, all permissions granted, no proxy, no vpn, etc.. the baffling part is they rely on IP geolocation data instead and currently it’s showing me in Allen, Texas close to Houston according to IPinfo while it also is stating that my IP is flagged as “Hosting” . Is there a way to force a refresh to obtain a different ASN? I’ve restarted, reset, toggled airplane mode and all that for a week now hoping it would resolve itself, but no luck. I just know it did work fine up until this last week and I did some digging to see what I could figure out. If anyone thinks it could help, I can provide more info. Thanks
Hi Jason,
I understand your frustration. As we require a number of different private information, such as the name of the app and your IP address, it would be best for you to open a ticket with our support team, please.

Thank you for contacting me, actually I contacted support before making the post in the forums, since I didn’t think I’d get a response since I’m not a paying customer, but was contacted shortly after posting by someone from the support team who provided me with a(n) IP Location correction request form. Hopefully that will resolve the issues, I noticed the IP addresses have been renewed on 10/09/25 according to the whois. I only submitted my own current IP address as I’m sure they are assigned to various different localities and not just local to me, but now that it’s been brought to someone’s attention, they will be able to figure out a long term solution as to not have any similar issues in the future. Thank you again, Jason M.
Hi Jason,
The pleasure is ours.
I didn’t think I’d get a response since I’m not a paying customer,
This is absolutely not how we operate. Our data impacts everyone. You do not have to pay us anything to get help from us. Everyone on the internet, to some extent, is impacted by our data, so we are accountable and responsible as an internet institute to help.
Our data is being used by tech giants like Cloudflare, OpenAI, Google, etc. The reality is that you do not have to be our customer to be impacted by our data. So, we maintain an open door policy for feedback, concerns and support issues. In fact, I usually reach out to people on Reddit, Twitter, etc. whenever they have issues .
The reason I asked you to contact support is that your problem requires sharing some private information, or else I would have provided an explanation here.
I only submitted my own current IP address as I’m sure they are assigned to various different localities and not just local to me
That is reasonable for us. We appreciate you sharing your location data. We will try to piece together the rest.
they will be able to figure out a long term solution as to not have any similar issues in the future.
The reality is that, if the app you are trying is ultimately using our data, this issue will be resolved by us fixing the location issue. But if the app is not using our data, our hands are tied here.
That is why we do a lot of outreach to streaming and broadcasting companies to use our data so we can go out there, talk to the viewers, and fix their issues.
I appreciate you posting in our community. Thank you very much.
